Julie Meyer’s work has been exhibited in many public and private galleries in Europe. Major exhibitions have taken place in France at the Musée des Beaux Arts de Pont Aven (2011), at the 2013 International Art Fair in Paris (FIAC) and Cutlog Festival at the Clemente in New York (2014). Recent exhibitions, with publications, include “Frozen Park” at the Octave Cowbell gallery (2014), “Lisières” at Maison Salvan in Labège (2014), “Interstate” at Syndicat Potentiel in Strasbourg (2013), “Sail the world” at Les Moyens du bord in Morlaix (2012), “Touristan” at the Fotoshop Gallery in Berlin (2008). I have prints in many collections including the Artothèque de la ville de Strasbourg and private collections.
I received many grants and awards as Bourse Leonardo (2013), Bourse jeunes 67 (2012), Défi Jeunes (2011), Aide à la production artistique (2011), Fondation de France (2011), Bourse du Conseil Général du Bas-Rhin (2009). I obtained a MFA (2007) and a BFA (2004) at the HEAR (School of fine arts) in Strasbourg. I have studied education and photography at the ESAD so I have many experiences in teaching. I was invited by the Musée des Beaux Arts de Pont Aven to lead a workshop in 2011. I have been teaching photography at Frac Alsace, Colleges and High Schools.
