Our Resident Artist Michelle Lassaline, has been working hard stitching new clothes for her performance art characters.
First up little “Burro” is ready to play. Michelle is a watercolor artist and a performance artist. Her characters are formed by making papier mache full head masks of animals. Each animal is beautifully made with fine painterly work for fur and textures. They have moveable mouths and as soon as Michelle puts the mask on the character immediately comes to life with its own personality and way of being.

Michelle will be teaching a papier mache mask making class/workshop August 11, 12 and 13 2014.
